We’re excited to share the story of a practical training programme designed specifically for aspiring mobility entrepreneurs in rural communities. The training programme focuses on developing micro-enterprises that provide Mobility as a Service. The programme makes use of important tools that help participants visualize and structure their business ideas effectively.
Through an in person workshop, followed by whatsapp based training and weekly group sessions, participants learnt essential topics including finance, marketing, and business operations. They explored how to create a sustainable business model that not only meets the needs of their community but also generates income opportunities. The training aimed to empower participants to become mobility entrepreneurs, equipping them with the knowledge needed to manage their own Mobility as a Service business. By offering affordable and accessible transport solutions, they aim to significantly improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and the elderly in their communities. But this programme is more than just a training course. It fosters a supportive ecosystem that encourages community engagement and collaboration.
Participants are not just learning in isolation; they are building networks, sharing experiences, and supporting one another in their entrepreneurial journeys. As these newly founded micro-enterprises take root, they contribute to the long-term sustainability of their communities. By providing essential transport services, they create a ripple effect of positive change, enhancing mobility and independence for those who need it most.
